What started out as a college english class assignment grew into an area to express my thoughts for my new college life. Hopefully I will actually stick to writing in here regularly :)

Think You Know My Avatar? (30pts)
I just made a new Voki. See it here:: http://www.voki.com/pickup.php?scid=9561317&height=267&width=200
This is Aria and she is meant for a younger age group. I would say kids from the ages of 6-12. She would be found in fantasy based games targeting younger children and participating in fun and easy word games and puzzles. Her character is framed in a round and non-threatening way so as to seem both inviting and friendly to children. The inspiration for this character actually comes from a short story I recently read.
She is a fairy living in an ancient wood that is being overtaken by dark creatures. She has been woken by the darkness creeping around her home and has gone in search for someone who can help her bring back the light. She is the guardian of a power lying dormant in the forest but has grown weak herself. She needs to get help before the secret she has been hiding is revealed and falls into the wrong hands.
She is the only one of her kind as all the rest of her family has long since fallen in trying to protect the forest. What the audience knows is that there is something hidden in the forest, so powerful that it has been keeping everything in the forest alive for hundreds of years. Nothing ever dies, there is never any sickness and the creatures are kept safe from hunters and the like. It is considered a mystic ground by the neighboring town and is respected in its own right. Aria only remains to maintain the protection of the power force keeping the forest. But if she fails not only will the forest lose it's magic, she will lose her life. Kind of dark, but the kids don't need to know that.
